The second stop on the tour was Limerick. To celebrate visiting this city, the Glee Club had a limerick competition. The venue we performed in was St. Mary's Cathedral in Limerick. The first cathedral to stand on this site was constructed in 1168, and parts of that cathedral have been incorporated into the building where we sang. This was the Glee Club's most interesting concert. Through a mishap with our publicity, we only had one audience member. To take advantage of this, our conductor let members of the Glee Club sit out for one song each, which was a rare and exciting opportunity to hear the group sing.
