"To have sung this music with a virtuoso orchestra and in youth must be one of the decisive events in a lifetime. A man would be one person before it; he would be another ever afterward. For no one need tell him that a world of the creative spirit exists. He has lived in it. He knows."
--Lucien Price, Amphion's Lyre

About Us

Founded in 1858, the Harvard Glee Club is the oldest college choir in America, considered by many to be the premier collegiate men's chorus of the country. This year we are celebrating our 150th anniversary with a huge-scale spring and summer tour of the American east and west coasts, culminating in a performance at the Ravinia festival in Chicago. Harvard Glee Club also features a smaller subset ensemble, HGC Lite, which performs lighter a cappella works.

Though HGC Lite performs primarily with the Harvard Glee Club at home and on the road, we also produce and participate in a variety of other events on the Harvard campus and beyond.

HGC Lite Repertoire

In addition to the repertoire listed here, HGC Lite also performs the traditional repertoire of the HGC. Please also note that while we list past repertoire to allow you a glimpse into our musical development over the years, only the repertoire listed under the current year is kept performance-ready.
